ESRs Gautham and Mehdi took part in EU Researchers Night activities in Edinburgh, showcasing their research to date.

ESR Alexsandar Mastilovic from the University of Novi Sad who presented a poster on “Internet of Things – Introduction in New Way of Thinking” at European Researchers Night  in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Aleksandar has also given an interview to a local newspaper:

ESR Pierre presented a poster at the MSCA satellite event (https://msca-esof2016.teamwork.fr/en/home).

Level 1 partner Carles Anton from CTTC gave a talk on “Smart Electricity Grids and Telecommunications: the Quest for Energy Efficiency”, at the Barcelona Science Festival, June 2016.

ESRs Charalampos, Deep and Achilleas participated in the Science week in November 2015 in Barcelona. ESRs Charalampos and Deep also gave a presentation of their research topics to colleagues at level 2 partner Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) in May 2015.

ESRs Mehdi, Gautham and Alex delivered an interactive event  ‘Powering the future: how will you power your home in 2025?’ at the Edinburgh International Science Festival in April 2016.

Individually, Charalampos offered a pedagogical presentation of his research topic at an English School in Castelldefels during the autumn of 2015. ESR Achilleas delivered a presentation/seminar for students at the National Technical University of Athens on the topic of “State Estimation” during 2016.

In August 2015 ESR Pierre gave presentation as part of a Workshop for the Danish CITIES project on his current research. In September 2015 Pierre also presented “Optimising the heating of residential buildings in the smart grid through predictive control” at the Danish CITIES Work-Package 5 Workshop.

During Training Event 1, ESRs Mehdi and Gautham presented as part of the November 2014 IEEE UK&RI Power and Energy Society Presentation Competition, hosted by the University of Edinburgh, at which Gautham was awarded second prize.
