ADVANTAGE Researchers will be contributing to a one day workshop: Integrating Communications, Control, and Computing Technologies for Smart Grid (ICT4SG) to be held on 25th May 2017 at IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 21st – 25th May 2017, Paris, France. Please see the draft Workshop programme. If you would like to present a poster or a computer or hardware demonstration of your research at this Workshop, please contact:  Hazel Cox – Hazel.Cox@ed.ac.uk,  by Monday 24th April with details of your poster or demonstration.

Project ADVANTAGE will also be providing a Special Session on Monday 19th June at IEEE PES Powertech 18th – 22nd June 2017, Manchester, UK.

ADVANTAGE Early Stage Researchers attended an ADVANTAGE Joint Workshop on Smart Electricity Distribution Networks (with FP7 project SUNSEED  and H2020 project P2P-SmarTest) at the Royal Academy of Engineering, London on 10th April 2017.

ADVANTAGE welcomes new Associated Partner the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where Early Stage Researcher Pierre Vogler-Finck will undertake a secondment during Spring 2017.

Early Stage Researcher Pierre Vogler-Finck presented at the ‘Young Researcher Conference: Energy Efficiency’ of the World Sustainable Energy Days 2017 in Wels, Austria on “Model predictive control for efficient house heating” in March 2017.

Early Stage Researcher Aleksandar Mastilovic was accepted onto the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board in February 2017.
